If the week you want is available, then complete and sign the following contract and return it to us with the appropriate deposit. Mail to Daniel Bowling, 116 Caledonia Street, Sausalito, CA 94965. If you give us a verbal commitment, we will hold the week that you request and not book it with anyone else. Your reservation will be cancelled if the deposit and contract are not received within 5 days of the initial reservation. The Guest(s) agrees to compensate Owner for any loss or damage caused by his/her carelessness and negligence, including missing or damaged linens, and agrees that Owner may charge her/his credit card for any such damage or loss, so long as Owner informs the Guest(s) at the address given above. The Guest(s) agrees that there will be an inspection of the houseboat before and after her/his arrival. 2. The Guest(s) agrees that she/he will be staying on a floating houseboat. Occupancy is strictly limited to no more than 10 overnight guests and a maximum of 4 additional visiting guests, absent explicit permission from the owners. The Guest(s) agrees to take care not to overload any one part of the houseboat by all gathering in one area, again understanding that, like a boat, overloading one area could cause the boat the take on water and sink. 3. The Guest(s) agrees to honor Owner’s request for absolutely no smoking in the houseboat or on the deck, no pets, and no lighted candles. The Guest(s) agrees that if Owner finds any evidence of a violation of this rule upon inspection, Owner will charge the Guest(s)’ credit card for any additional cleaning necessary. 4. The Guest(s) agrees that the South Forty Pier is a quiet, residential area and agrees not to hold any loud house parties or to play loud music at any time. The Guest(s) also agrees to maintain normal quiet after 10pm. The Guest(s) agrees that if Owner receives a complaint from neighbors or the Sausalito police, the Guest(s) will be given an initial warning. Upon receiving a second complaint of any nature, the Guest(s) agrees Owner may immediately evict her/him and all members of her/his party without refund, regardless of their participation in the disturbance. 5. The Guest(s) agrees that this reservation is only for the number of adults and children listed on the reservation form. If, upon inspection, Owners learn that the Guest(s) has permitted additional people to sleep on the boat, they may assess appropriate damages. 6. The Guest(s) agrees that check-in is no earlier than 3:00 pm and check-out is no later than 10:00 am. Owners may agree to make an exception for unusual circumstances; however, an additional charge may be necessary for cleaning, if such an exception is made. The Guest(s) agrees to return the key to 425 Pine Street to confirm check-out and agrees that Owner may charge her/his credit card for any lost key. There will be no refunds for early departure for any reason. 7. The Guest(s) agrees that half of the rental amount is required to hold a reservation. If the Guest(s) provides written cancellation notice to Owner at least 60 days prior to the arrival date, Owner will refund the full deposit, minus a processing fee of 10%. If Guest(s) cancels between 60 and 90 days prior to the arrival date, Owner will refund half the deposit, minus a processing fee of 10%. Full payment is due 30 days before the arrival date. If full payment is not received 30 days in advance, the reservation will be cancelled and Guest(s) will forfeit all deposits or payments. Full payment is required for any reservation made within 60 days of the week requested. 8. The Guest(s) agrees to use the houseboat, including the deck, at her/his own risk and will hold Owner harmless from any liability excepting Owner’s gross negligence. The Guest(s) also aggrees that Owner is not responsible for articles lost, stolen or left at the houseboat.
